Ken Mierke is president of Fitness Concepts, a multisport coaching company and developer of Evolution Running, a system of teaching techniques for efficient, injury free running. Just this month, he coached Margaret Shapiro to championship victory in the ITU JAL Age Group Triathlon World Championship for the 25-29 age group. Mierke has a B.S. in Exercise Physiology and is currently pursuing a M.S. in Sports Psychology. He also races in multisport events, winning two ITU World Triathlon Championships and two silver medals in the physically challenged division. He has contributed to Inside Triathlon, VeloNews, Metro Sports Washington DC, and Rocky Mountain Sports.
