Tour de France 100: A Photographic History of the Tour de France; TDF100

The gift: Lance Armstrong and Marco Pantani climbing to the summit of Mont Ventoux in 2000. They arrived at the finish together, and Pantani won the stage, though Armstrong didn’t contest it, offering it to the Italian as a gift. Pantani later said the he felt insulted, and a feud began between them.
