Lauren Fleshman and Roisin McGettigan-Dumas Release New Race-Focused and Stripped-Down Runner’s Diary

Boulder, CO, USA — November 10, 2016 — Two new training journals designed by professional runners Lauren Fleshman and Roisin McGettigan-Dumas help runners to improve every run and race. The new Compete Training Journal is a performance-focused workout log that also shows runners how to transform their approach to racing. Believe Logbook is a minimalist workout diary that’s perfect to help runners plan and prepare for a race or event that is 3-6 months away. Both journals are now available in bookstores, running shops, and online. See a preview at

Whether your next race is a 5K or an ultramarathon, the all-new Compete Training Journal will transform your approach to competing and make sure that race day brings out the best in you. New racers will get a fast-track road map to racing success while experienced competitors will deepen all aspects of their mental game for even better performances. Drawing from their two decades of professional racing experience, Lauren and Ro guide runners to set achievable goals, map out a training plan, log workouts, avoid mental pitfalls, set smart race strategies, train with intention, emphasize the process over goals, avoid comparison to others, get in the zone, discover strengths and weaknesses, build up a positive mental story, keep running fun, reflect on past seasons, and anticipate the next challenge.

The new Believe Logbook features an open, customizable design that helps runners focus, plan, record, and ready themselves for upcoming races and events. The Believe Logbook includes just the essentials: 6 months of undated space for daily and weekly running logs plus room for short-term planning and race reports. Runners can log time or distance, record course conditions, observe how the workout felt, note crosstraining and recovery work, track gear usage, plan and review races, and reflect on goals and the season.
