If meditation is brain training to help you focus better, this chapter will give you the tools to get started. By using your innate tools of breathing, speaking, seeing, and feeling, you will learn how to meditate anytime or anywhere. Coach Erin Taylor will help you make the most of stress, find flow on purpose, and hurdle the mental barriers that get in the way.

3. Recharge your body

Restorative yoga is a different kind of yoga—restful, supported, and meant to open up your body to create more space. It helps athletes transition from working out to resting, from contraction to expansion. You will learn how to do restorative yoga by two ways: relaxing deeply and gently mobilizing.

Work in for physical relaxation with 17 poses to relax deeply, 10 poses to gently mobilize, and 4 restorative yoga routines.

4. The 28-day recovery plan

This 4-week plan puts the meditation exercises and restorative yoga poses to use in a meaningful way. Each day recommends a meditation with an accompanying yoga posture, along with a focus for the week and prompts to make it personal to you. The consistent practice of mental focus and physical relaxation will develop an intentional, realistic approach to recovery.
